Founded in 2015 by brothers Jabbok and Willy Schlacks, EquipmentShare has ballooned from $1 million in annual revenue and five employees to $4.5 billion in sales with 8,000 team members, operating across 373 locations in 45 states. The co-CEOs rang the Nasdaq opening bell in Times Square, marking a milestone for the Midwest upstart. CEO Jabbok Schlacks described the IPO as “the beginning of another beginning,” emphasizing the public markets’ role in tackling the $11 trillion construction industry’s inefficiencies around people, materials, and machines.
